Not sure I grasp the essence of Russia’s manoeuvers. Are you saying Russia is playing the short term game by overfishing their own stock in order to support the war— which already has a dubious outcome, some kind of stalemate at best it would seem.
Russia doesn’t mind cannibalising its own economy in order to save face and for Putin to retain his power ?
