I read this NYT article. It’s important to mention, there are other bugs right now that are endangered far more than honeybees, and even other bees -- such as bumble bees. It’s important not to use pesticides, bug spray, or bug zappers. The best way to get rid of pesty bugs are other kinds of bugs -- ladybugs to prevent certain types of leaf eaters, and my favorite, spiders to take care of mosquitoes and flies. Don’t ever kill a spider! That spider is almost always harmless, and is helping prevent the spread of diseases and illnesses by eliminating mosquitoes and flies for you!
