Designer BLTs miss the perfection of one of the best sandwiches ever created. Keep it simple - good quality sliced, lightly toasted white bread (not foccacia, not a baguette, nothing seeded, etc.); very ripe, red tomatoes sliced thick; thick sliced bacon (not pork belly, or portabellas) fried crisp; a generous amount of mayo; and iceberg lettuce. No substitutions.
