I just bought one - Lectric XPremium - and will sell it at a loss on Saturday.
I had range anxiety so I bought one with 100+ mile range. But I didn't realize how heavy the two big batteries for a long-range bike would be. I live on the 5th floor of an apartment building in Westchester County and getting it down to the street was a project.
I may buy another one, but it will be lighter and will have to wait until I have a house.
The transmission on one of our two cars just died, and we’re considering shifting to a one car + e-bike family. We live in a quiet suburban Ahwatukee Foothills Village of Phoenix, where nearly every service we need is within a mile or two of flat terrain. We already walk quite a bit around here—our neighborhood is more walkable than most Western cities. But, well, that’s far less fun during the hot months of the year.
Any tips on what to look for in an e-bike? I can’t imagine range is an issue for us, but I would like to be able to haul several bags of groceries home.

I could never sort out the walk up storage solution when I was in BK
I see a lot of kids and teenagers on ebikes in my area. I can't imagine the level of freedom they feel cruising around town on summer break!

Funny enough I actually built a bot to answer exactly this. It's at https://ridereview.com
