This came early Thursday morning, but I was up and read it. Went straight to FIP and discovered a new band, Génération Django. We will be in Paris next week, so I looked to see if they were playing anywhere. Found Edouard Pennes Instagram which had a posting for a jazz club, Le Bal Blomet. Romain Vuillemin, who plays on the album with Pennes is playing there during our stay. We have tickets. A perfect concert to see in Paris. All thanks to you and FIP!!!
Been jamming FIP since reading this and it is 100% entering the regular rotation! I love NTS radio but sometimes both of its channels are a little too weird/industrial/ambient when it’s late night UK time. FIP is gonna be a reliable choice to add to the independent radio menu for me. Thanks for sharing!
one of the best example of when/ how sometimes some things are better off state-owned and not for-profits maximizer; which tends to be often true for anything culture-centric - FIP is definitely one of a kind 🎯
