How can you expect children to meet that criteria when you have a bumbling stumbling ass like Joe Biden in office. A role model he’s far from.

Thought you might find this blog I wrote on Physical Education in the 1960s inspired by the presidential election. There was a high school near Sacramento that became famous for it's PE. JFK even had a plan to visit the school, but was assassinated before he had a chance to visit.

That dreaded shuttle run was more a function of your shoes ability to grip the basketball floor when attempting to pick up an eraser. But the rest of it brings back fond memories.

On the ground, it sucked. I was a nerdy kid who failed the test each year, in a humiliating public way. Maybe two PE coaches in all of junior and high school bothered to prepare us with an actual exercise program or any real physical education.

And then, as an adult, I gradually discovered the benefits of working out and exercise.

I never had any chance of getting that award, but I remember the tests… Fortunately for us nerds, Reagan implemented the Presidential Academic Fitness Award, which I received a few times!
