Your content is the most interesting I get via newsletters and other subscriptions. And I understand the wish to get paid. But seeing that almost everyone on Substack tries to charge about 10 dollars per month from readers seems a bit insane. I guess you have done your math and figured out that lower price would not give you more subscribers. But perhaps its also worthwhile to consider that not everyone is from the US where this is basically a price of a cup of coffee in a lot of places. I paid 7-8 euros monthly for a daily subscription of a paper newspaper delivered to my mailbox and I pay the same fro a digital access to the biggest media publisher in my country. I am sorry to not be able to read the full posts any more but paying 10 dollars for a newsletter means that I have to give up sth else that is vital for my family. Thank you and goodbye.
